Intuitive eating style
Intuitive eating is when you eat based on what your body feels it needs. Intuitive eating is also based on conscious eating which is what I will discuss more on below, it means you are more conscious about your food choices.
This intuition comes through cravings & just a general feeling of wanting a certain type of food. We have to be careful with this however because sometimes your ego will have you eating & craving certain bad foods & we must distinguish the two different feelings which can be very challenging! Once you start living a more conscious lifestyle you change everything including your diet!
Intuitive versus ego cravings
The ego can make you crave certain foods that are coming from old bad habits, conditioned ways & unconscious eating. I noticed that unconscious people who are mainly ego driven & conditioned never truly listen to their bodies. They also won’t do any research on food or try new healthier habits.
Ego cravings are cravings that you are working on letting go. When your ego is craving something or telling you to do something it usually doesn’t feel right, it feels not so good in the body. So tune in & feel what the craving is telling you. Is it a healthy choice or is it a bad habit that you are working on dropping?
Craving heavy unhealthy foods doesn’t mean it is ego driven. Do not get me wrong, your body may need some heavy foods at certain times especially if you are doing spiritual healing or on the ascension path. Your body will be going through major changes that require you to feed it what it is asking for. For instance I always had certain cravings at certain energetic periods when my body was really going through a lot of change & it needed some heavier foods like fries or vegan chicken fingers. These are all ok cravings, even salty foods are sometimes what your body needs.
If you are craving foods based on intuition & from your higher-self, the feeling will be good & there will be energy behind the craving. This is how you know that its from your higher-self & not from your ego. Remember your ego will keep you trapped in OLD WAYS of being . This is why it is very important to learn to distinguish between your higher-self & ego talk. The ego is LOUD, the higher-self is QUIET but a good feeling & energetic.
Ego work is so important for this, a lot of us are just living by our ego self & out of touch with our higher-self. This is why when you do ego work will easily start to identify when it is your ego chatter coming in to intervene.
So intuitive cravings are always feeling very natural & there is no bad feeling around it like shame, guilt etc. Intuitive cravings always are what our body is desiring & needs at a certain period for whatever reason.
You have to really evaluate how much bad foods you are really eating, if the cravings for bad foods are few then you are just following your intuition, if you are craving bad foods all the time & feeding your body junk then you are in ego craving mode!
You also have to evaluate your past habits & see if you are repeating them again because most likely they are coming from ego!
Balance
Your intuitive eating should have you eating a balanced diet, which means you stick to mainly healthy foods. Some foods that you might think are healthy are actually toxic. Having a balance in your diet is what is important, this means you are eating mainly foods that your body is craving & you know they are good for you!
Conscious eating
Conscious eating is when you are lead by your higher self to certain foods that match your new vibration. Once you wake up spiritually you will start to lead a more conscious lifestyle.
It doesn’t mean that you need to stick to a strict diet, it means that you need to evaluate your vibration & see what foods match this. A lot of diet is based on consciousness, this is what I have discovered from my own research. Eating a conscious diet means you are generally eating a high vibrational diet - this is conscious eating. But people’s diets are based on awareness or consciousness. If your vibration is high you won’t be gravitated to denser foods. Eating a conscious diet means you are aware of the foods you are eating, you are doing research & you start to care about potential toxins in the food. You are more inclined to go organic or adopt more cleaner eating habits which was my case!
Eating unconsciously means that you are eating based on ego desires & conditioned ways. Once you have an awakening your diet changes to accommodate your new expanded consciousness!
My intuitive eating experience
I changed my diet to a more clean one last year, when I started my spiritual healing. I started eating consciously. I began to research which foods are good for my body & which are toxic. My higher self started guiding me more & more to certain foods. I stopped eating some bad foods out of habit completely & incorporated a more clean diet that supports my new higher vibration. I have been eating based on my higher self cravings & just a more conscious way of eating. On certain intense energetic periods my body needed more salt & fatty foods which is what I honoured. But I have stopped eating certain meats & foods completely, more on “My Diet”.
